Description
The stock seat was too high and uncomfortable on my 1998 Valkyrie and no aftermarket ones are available. The bike is quite heavy and I had to make something that got my feet flat on the ground for stability. I took off the stock seat and molded a piece of 1/8 inch aluminum with a heavy hammer to fit the frame as tightly as possible. Since I don’t have machining tools, I had to make numerous cuts into the aluminum to bend it as is shown in the last aluminum photo. Fortunately my neighbor is an upholsterer so I got him to put a low profile diamond tufted seat– much better, now my feet are flat on the pavement. Last picture is stock original picture from brochure.

nice bike but you should have put more padding into the top spot as teh passenger would be hurting soon
ya, I thought the same thing-but that bike probably wouldn’t really be good for long rides with a passenger anyway.
